Born and raised on the Eastern Shore, Andrea has always had a fierce interest in medicine. Originally a nursing major, she quickly changed her focus to veterinary medicine after forming a bond with a special Labrador named Benelli. Andrea graduated from Delaware Technical Community College’s Veterinary Technician program and passed the Veterinary Technician National Examination (VTNE) to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician in 2018. After licensure, Andrea spent a brief period of time in general practice before landing in emergency and specialty practice. There, she cultivated a special interest in clinical pathology, and has considered becoming specialized through the Academy of Veterinary Clinical Pathology. During her free time, Andrea likes to watercolor paint, play video games, read, travel with her soulmate, Raineir, and dote on her sweet black Labrador named Gus.
