Sarah grew up on the Eastern Shore of Maryland and, for as long as she can remember, has wanted to work in veterinary medicine. She started volunteering at her local animal shelter when she was only seven years old and continued volunteering there 2-3 times a week for over a decade before turning eighteen and beginning her career at that very same animal shelter. Sarah then spent the following six years working for various animal shelters in Maryland while also attending Washington College. She started her career in veterinary medicine working as an Overnight Emergency Veterinary Assistant before joining our Client Services team in 2023. She also recently started an online program to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT).
Sarah currently resides in Cecil County, Maryland with her husband, Justin, and their “zoo” of animals which includes three dogs, four cats, one long-term foster dog, two hamsters, and a revolving door of foster kittens. In her spare time, Sarah enjoys gardening, going on hikes with her dogs, fostering bottle baby kittens, and listening to Taylor Swift.
