Melissa has more than 35 years of experience in the veterinary field, a passion that has only deepened over time. She began her career in shelter medicine, where she discovered how meaningful it is to care for animals in need while also supporting the people who love them.

In 1996, Melissa transitioned into practice management, serving as Practice Manager for two local veterinary hospitals, where she gained invaluable experience in client relations and high-quality veterinary operations.

These experiences helped shape the foundation for her current focus—combining compassion, education, and a commitment to lifelong wellness for every pet who comes through the door. She has pursued extensive training in animal care and practice management and continually strives to make every visit as positive and supportive as possible for both pets and their families.

Melissa has been married to her husband, Bob, for 32 years. Together they have two children—a daughter and a son—and three energetic grandsons who keep them smiling. Outside of work, she enjoys camping, cheering on her sons at baseball games, and spending time with her family and their own furry (and shelled) companions: three dogs, one cat, and a turtle.

For Melissa, working with animals and their families is not just a profession—it is a lifelong calling.
