Dr. Weeman grew up on a dairy farm in Ohio and graduated with a B.S. in Animal Sciences, M.S. in Comparative Veterinary Medicine and D.V.M from The Ohio State University. Dr. Weeman was President of his veterinary class and is particularly proud to have been honored as his class’s most respected member with the completion of his veterinary degree in 2013. Upon graduation he practiced in Up State New York prior to moving to the Eastern Shore of Maryland in 2015. He has been serving client of our Smyrna practice for six years now. Dr. Weeman has experience in emergency medicine, large and small animal medicine. 
 
Dr. Weeman serves on the board of the Maryland Veterinary Medical Association and is the legislative and food animal committee chair. He is a member of, and holds, or has held leadership roles within the American Association of Bovine Practitioners and American Veterinary Medical Association. He was honored to be Maryland’s Distinguished Veterinarian in 2019. Dr. Weeman enjoys serving people and animals. He is particularly passionate about providing comprehensive, preventive medicine, soft tissue surgery, and dentistry.
 
He lives with his wife, children, and their two dogs and cat along with a small, but empty pasture full of potential. Free time is something of an ambitious concept for him, but when it’s found the pasture will be a lot less empty, a garden will be planted, he will improve the time it takes him to run a mile and spend more time with family and friends.
