Brooke is a Maryland native who grew up surrounded by animals on her grandparents’ farm, sparking a lifelong passion for animal care. She began her career as a veterinary assistant in 1998 and quickly realized she wanted to deepen her expertise. Brooke graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2006 with an associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology and soon after passed the VTNE to become a licensed veterinary technician.
In 2008, Brooke joined a large specialty and emergency hospital in Delaware, where she discovered her true calling in veterinary ophthalmology. After a decade of dedication, she earned her Veterinary Technician Specialty (VTS) in ophthalmology in 2018. Brooke later transitioned to management and spent two years as a floor manager at a busy general practice in Lewes. Now, she’s thrilled to bring her 26 years of experience and passion for animal care to the team at VidaVet.
Outside of work, Brooke enjoys spending time with her husband, Chris, going on day trips, and attending concerts. Her love of animals extends to her home, where they have four cats and a dog. Horses have been a lifelong passion for her and she also has a horse named Tarka. When she’s not caring for animals, Brooke loves to run and challenge herself with half and full marathons.
